How does the collection of content in other languages work in Radar? The posts collected by Radar encompass three languages: Portuguese, English, and Spanish. When conducting a text search, it is possible to filter the results by the "Language" field, located in the Advanced Filters. This way, you can select the languages you want to consider in the posts. Note: In some cases, it's possible for Radar to collect a publication that is not among the three languages mentioned. This can happen if the publication was made by a page, blog, or user from a country where Portuguese, English, or Spanish is the primary language. How are the posts that appear in Radar collected? STILINGUE maintains a sample database fueled by searches conducted within our dashboards, which stores posts made since 2018. This data is processed to determine which posts are of interest to the user and then feeds the Radar database. It is estimated that over 5.8 billion posts are in the database, with an approximate volume of 2.1 million posts being included every day. As it is a different database from the one used to collect data from our clients' panels, some posts may not be returned, such as: Inbox; Instagram posts where the author is an anonymous user; Retweets from Twitter; TikTok posts; Only posts classified as Portuguese, English, and Spanish are accepted. Is it possible to search for characters like: &, #, @, among others? Yes. These symbols are called special characters and can be used as search features within Radar. If you want to have access to boolean operators and other special characters. Is there a limit to the number of terms in Radar searches? Yes. You can enter up to 21 words distributed among the operators because the boolean search, responsible for how the search is conducted in Radar, has a limit of 21 terms. Does Instagram count as one of the networks collected in Radar? Yes, Instagram is considered a search channel in Radar. However, due to limitations in the social media network's API, only posts are collected by STILINGUE. Additionally, Instagram posts from Radar are collected through business profiles in a continually growing influencer database. Why do I see an invalid search message in Radar? When you fill out the search field in Radar, you may receive a message of "Invalid Search" or "Invalid Textual Search." One of the reasons for this notification may be related to the inclusion of special characters in the search. When you use the copy shortcut (Ctrl + C) and paste terms (Ctrl + V) within Radar, some characters may have their formatting altered and, for this reason, may display differently in the search bar, which triggers the message of an invalid textual search. An example is the use of quotation marks. You may notice a difference when the character is typed directly into the Radar search bar and when it is pasted from another source. Quotation marks typed directly in the search bar: Quotation marks copied and pasted from another text source into the search bar: Note: When using the copy and paste command, there is a possibility that the quotation marks are accepted because they have normal formatting. In this case, the invalid search message is not displayed on the platform, and the search is conducted normally. As a STILINGUE reader, do I have the ability to conduct searches in Radar? Yes. Permissions within the tool function as controlled access for custom searches. Radar is not part of the search panel; it is located in the STILINGUE Central. The permission level in the tool, whether it's Master or Reader, does not interfere with its usage. What is required to be in the "Top Publishers" section of Radar? The top publishers in Radar are those who have made posts considered the most "hot" and have a larger number of followers. Additionally, users who have relevance to the terms entered in the search are displayed in this area. They are not necessarily influencers. What is the update frequency for Social Metrics of Radar posts? The update of social metrics for posts displayed in Radar occurs with the same frequency as the posts collected by Listening: Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube: The initial update of social metrics happens 30 minutes after the post is collected. After that, updates occur every 24 hours for 7 days, provided the post has a minimum of 10 interactions. In addition to this metric, the number of followers for a profile is updated each time a post is collected, as long as the profile has a minimum of 2000 followers. Instagram: The initial update of social metrics happens 30 minutes after the post is collected. Afterward, updates occur every 24 hours for 7 days. In the case of Instagram, there is no minimum interaction requirement. In addition to this metric, the number of followers for a profile is updated each time a post is collected, as long as the profile has a minimum of 1000 followers. What does the "Brand" gender classification mean? In addition to the existing gender classifications in the system - Male, Female, and Organization - some posts classified as Brand may appear in Radar, Influencer Hub, or Listening collections. This categorization is similar to Organization, meaning it applies to posts from pages and institutions that identify themselves as a brand. Unlike Organization, the Brand classification does not appear as a search option in Radar or Listening filters. However, they can still be retrieved if you filter by Organization, with the main difference being that the post will be displayed in the graphs as Brand. It's also important to note that posts with the Brand gender cannot be manually edited in the Classify area or other modules of the platform. What is the significance of the size and colors of the dots in Related Terms? When identifying related terms, note that some of them have larger dots compared to other terms. The size indicates the volume of posts containing that term, meaning the larger the dot, the more posts with that term will appear in the search results. The colors, on the other hand, indicate which term is "hot." The closer the term is to orange, the more recent it is. You can access these posts by clicking on the dot of the desired term, which will direct you to the Post Wall.
