Blip platform compatibility + Internet Explorer (IE) June 16, 2023 15:34 Updated To avoid issues with the use of the Blip platform and its solutions, we emphasize the importance of keeping your software (browsers, servers, operating systems, etc., provided by responsible companies) always updated to the latest available version. Please instruct your chatbot users to do the same. This is because we frequently implement improvements on the Blip platform that meet the requirements of the digital market (security protocols, networking, etc.), and there is no way to prolong or reverse these actions, which may not work on outdated programs. Therefore, we would like to provide some information regarding the discontinuation of Internet Explorer (IE) by Microsoft: Recently, some blippers have contacted our support indicating that they and their users were experiencing issues when accessing Blip Chat via IE. After investigating if the same was happening to other blippers beyond those who contacted us, analyzing some documentation, and conducting tests, we understand that the problem is directly related to the browser, as Microsoft has ended support for Internet Explorer (IE) 10 and earlier versions since 01/12/2016 and has announced that it is also moving towards the complete discontinuation of support for Internet Explorer 11*. Therefore, if you are using IE as your primary browser, we recommend replacing it as soon as possible. Currently, the following browsers are working normally and we recommend them: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge. We have created a topic in the Blip Community Forum to discuss this information. You can find the official announcement in "Microsoft 365 apps say farewell to Internet Explorer 11 and Windows 10 sunsets Microsoft Edge Legacy 1", available only in English.
