The process of publishing a smart contact on the Telegram channel is very simple.

Prerequisites: Before you start, make sure that you already have a valid Telegram account and that the application is already installed on your device (or web browser).

 Start a conversation with the contact @botfather

Access your Telegram application, click on search contacts and look for a contact called BotFather (@botfather). This is a bot created by the Telegram team to help users in the process of creating bots on the platform.

Creating your bot on Telegram

To create your bot on Telegram, send the message / newbot to BotFather. After that, you will be asked to enter a name and a user name (identifier) for your application.

Enter the name of your Bot Telegram, it will be displayed in the contact details and in other locations within the application.

Enter your bot's username (identifier). The username is a short name, which can be used in mentions and Telegram links.

Usernames are 5 to 32 characters long and can only be Latin, numbers and underscores. There is no distinction between uppercase and lowercase letters in usernames, however, it must necessarily end in "bot".

After entering this information you will receive an authorization token for your new bot. It is through this token that Blip will be able to send messages on behalf of its bot.

Inserting your token in Blip

After following the previous 2 steps, Telegram will make the token available, which is a string required to authorize the bot and send requests to the Telegram API.

Access the Blip portal, select your bot, click on Channels> Telegram and insert your bot's token in the indicated location. Click the “save” button to activate the channel.

Note: Keep your token stored and safe, otherwise it can be used by anyone to control your bot.
