The improvement process is a way to generate metrics and gain insights into the model's level of assertiveness.

When approving or correcting an analysis, this data is sent to the confusion matrix and helps to understand if the phrases are being understood correctly by the model.

Finally, corrected analyzes can be approved and / or saved as an example of intent.

 

Presentation

To view all analyzes performed on your bot's NLP model, as well as the intentions identified in each analysis, access the Blip portal, click on the Artificial Intelligence module and choose the Enhancement option in the side menu.

In each analysis, Blip presents the intention, identified entities and the reliability returned by the main active provider at the time of the analysis.

 

How to improve

When selecting one or more phrases, it is possible to: approve, correct intention, delete or save as an example.

 

Approve

Approval is a resource used to generate model success metrics, by performing this action you are generating data for the construction of confusion matrices via user interactions. Thus, it is possible to know if your model is understanding the user correctly.

 Save as an example

When saving a sentence as an example, you are inserting it within the base, as an example of the intention that was analyzed by the model.

It is useful when the model is still being created and user insights can help increase the number of examples registered in the intent.

Also, it is important to remember that the new examples only begin to be recognized after training the model.

Correct intention

When the model identifies a different intention than expected for wh at the user said, it is important to correct it. This correction can be approved and / or saved as an example.

 Delete

Sometimes it may be necessary to remove inputs that do not add to the analysis, for example, when user interaction is irrelevant to the context of your bot's NLP model. So you can delete phrases when you think it's necessary.

Batch actions

All of these actions can be done in batch, just select one or more items from the table and choose one of the actions.

Phrase details

When hovering over a phrase, an arrow appears, clicking on it allows you to view the details of the phrase.

It is possible to see the details of each sentence analyzed, thus checking the context in which the sentence was said, facilitating the interpretation of the user's intention.

No approval needed

In the previous version, it was necessary to approve all suggestions for changes made in the improvement, however, approval is now part of the improvement process. Users who are allowed to view, edit, delete on the enhancement screen, can perform the actions without having to change the page.
