What are sending failures? These are errors reported by Meta that prevented message delivery to contacts. Where do I find sending failures? To access the details, follow the steps below: How to access: Access the portal; Then, choose the chatbot; Next, go to the "Analysis" tab; Within Analysis, click on the "Active Messages" menu. At the end of the report, there is a specific section with the error details, titled "Sending Failures." What do the errors shown in the report mean? The possible errors will be detailed below: Error Group Code Message Detail Possible Solutions Authorization Errors 0 There was an authentication problem. This usually means that your access token has expired or is invalid. Try generating a new access token. Unable to authenticate the application user. Usually, this means that the included access token has expired, been invalidated, or the app user has changed a setting to prevent all apps from accessing their data. We recommend that you obtain a new access token. Authorization Errors 3 Your application does not have permission to perform this action. Please check if the necessary permissions to send messages via WhatsApp are enabled for your application. Capacity or permissions issue. Use the access token debugger to check if your application has received the necessary permissions from the endpoint. Learn how to debug here. Authorization Errors 10 Permission denied. The permission to perform this action was not granted or has been revoked. Please check your application's permission settings. The permission was not granted or has been revoked. The WhatsApp Business Account associated with the application has been restricted or disabled for violating a platform policy. Integrity Errors 130497 Your business account does not have permission to send messages to users in this country. Please refer to the allowed countries for your business category in Meta's policies. The WhatsApp Business Account is restricted from sending messages to users in certain countries. Integrity Errors 131031 The account was blocked due to a policy violation or data verification failure (such as an incorrect two-step PIN). Check WhatsApp policies and your account status for more details The WhatsApp Business Account associated with the application has been restricted or disabled for violating a platform policy, or we were unable to verify the data included in the request against the data set in the WhatsApp Business Account (for example, the two-step PIN included in the request is incorrect) Refer to the Policy Enforcement document to learn more about policy violations and how to resolve them. It could be a temporary issue with the WhatsApp server or an error in your request. Check the API status and verify that your request is correct. Invalid request or possible server error. Check the API status information here. If there are no server outages, review the endpoint reference and ensure your request is properly formatted and meets all endpoint requirements. Other errors 2 API service unavailable. The service may be temporarily down or overloaded. Check the API status and try again later. Temporary due to downtime or overload. Check the API status information here before trying again. Other errors 33 Your business phone number has been deleted or is invalid. Please check if the phone number provided is correct. The business phone number has been deleted. Please verify that the business phone number is correct. Other errors 100 Invalid parameter. Your request contains parameters (submitted information) that are not supported or have typos. Check the documentation to correct possible errors. The request included one or more unsupported or misspelled parameters. Refer to the endpoint reference to determine which parameters are supported and how they are written. Other errors 131009 The value of a parameter is invalid. One or more pieces of information sent in your request are not valid. Check the documentation for the correct values. One or more parameter values are invalid. Other errors 131016 Service unavailable. A WhatsApp service is temporarily unavailable. Check the API status and try again later. A service is temporarily unavailable. Check the information about the API status here before trying again. Other errors 131021 The recipient cannot be the sender. You are trying to send a message to the same number that is sending it Change the recipient's number. The sender's and recipient's phone numbers are the same. Send a message to a phone number different from the sender. Other errors 131026 The message could not be delivered. This may happen because the recipient's number is not a WhatsApp number, they have not accepted the new terms of service, or they are using an outdated version of the app. Ask the user to check these points. The message could not be delivered. Update to the latest version of the WhatsApp client. Other errors 131037 The display name of your test number (starting with 555) needs to be approved before you can send messages. Access the registration information here before trying again. Other errors 131047 Reengagement message. More than 24 hours have passed since the customer's last reply. To start a new conversation, you must use a message template. More than 24 hours have passed since the recipient last replied to the sender's number. Send the recipient a business-initiated message using a message template. Other errors 131049 Meta (the company that owns WhatsApp) has chosen not to deliver this message to maintain service quality. Do not try again immediately. Meta understands that this message does not promote healthy engagement within the ecosystem. For this reason, it was not delivered. Do not retry immediately if you receive this error code. Instead, try waiting progressively longer intervals before sending the message again until it is delivered. The recipient has chosen not to receive marketing messages from your business anymore. Do not send new messages to this user. The message could not be delivered. This recipient has opted out of receiving marketing messages on WhatsApp from your business. Do not attempt to send messages to this user again. To receive notifications whenever a WhatsApp user requests to pause or resume the delivery of marketing message templates from your business, subscribe to the user_preferences webhook. Other errors 131051 Unsupported message type. The type of message you are trying to send (for example, text, image, audio) is not supported. Check the allowed message types. Unsupported message type. Check the supported message types under Messages. After that, try again using a supported message type. Other errors 131052 Media download error. The media file sent by the user could not be downloaded. Ask the user to send the file through another method. The media sent by the user could not be downloaded. The media included in the WhatsApp user's message could not be downloaded. For more information, check the error.error_data.details value in any messages webhooks triggered when this message was received. Ask the WhatsApp user to send the media file using a method other than WhatsApp. Other errors 131053 Media upload error. The media file could not be uploaded. Check if the file format (for example, JPG, PNG, MP4) is supported. The media used in the message could not be uploaded. The media upload failed for one or more reasons, such as an unsupported media type. For more information, check the error.error_data.details value in any messages webhooks triggered when this message failed to send. We recommend reviewing the media files causing errors and confirming that they are indeed supported. On UNIX, for example, you can use the command line file -I rejected-file.mov to determine the MIME type. You can then confirm whether the MIME type is supported. Verify that the template name and language are correct and that it has been approved by WhatsApp. The template does not exist in the specified language or the template has not been approved. Verify that the template has been approved and that the template name and language locale are correct. You must follow the message template guidelines. Other errors 132005 Hydrated template text too long. The translated text of your message template is too long. Check your template translations in the WhatsApp Manager. Contact customer support if you continue to receive this error code in response. Synchronization errors 2593107 Synchronization request limit exceeded. You can only sync contacts and message history once. Undo the integration and then redo the client integration to try again. You have exceeded the maximum number of times to call the synchronization API for this phone number.. You can only call this endpoint once to synchronize the business phone number's contacts and once to synchronize its message history. Please refer to Business App User Integration. Unlink the business client and then link it again. Synchronization errors 2593108 Synchronization request made outside the allowed time window. Synchronization can only be performed within 24 hours after the user integration. Unlink the user integration and then link the user again to try again.
