Managing Access Permissions July 29, 2024 21:16 Updated Index: Creating a New User Granting Access to Contract View Granting Access to the Bot Adding an Attendant to the Contract During the project of an intelligent contact (conversational application), it is almost always necessary to involve a multidisciplinary team made up of different people (developers, testers, designers, writers/linguists, AI specialists, managers, data analysts, among others) with specific skills and knowledge. Each team member is responsible for performing certain actions and therefore may need different permissions within the platform. With this in mind, we have provided a step-by-step guide for you to manage your team. 😀 Creating a New User To register a new user, just follow the steps below: Access the Blip Portal by clicking on "Sign Up for Free" After this procedure, an email will be sent to the inbox, as shown in the example below: After confirming, your account will be activated: The user can also click on "request access", and it will be pending in the contract view. To grant access, click on “Pending” and approve the request, as shown in the example below: Granting Access to Contract View To grant access, you need to add the user as a contract member, just follow these steps: 1) Select the contract panel. 2) In the contract panel, click on Members: 1.1. To add a new member to the organization, click on Invite and follow the instructions: The invited user will receive an email to access Blip as shown below and will be able to access the Blip platform by clicking on “Access Blip”. 1.2 To edit an already granted permission, select the contract member (1), click on the pencil icon (2) and choose the new role. Granting Access to the Bot After the user sets the password and accesses the portal, the bot administrator must grant the necessary permissions for each user, following the step below: 2. To make these settings, access the Blip portal, select your bot and click on the Team icon located in the upper right corner (see image below). On the team screen, it is possible to add, remove, and edit the permissions of all team members. The images below illustrate how to add team members and set permissions by portal area. Functionality Details The previously discussed permissions can be granted for different functionalities (modules) of the platform. See below for a description of each one: Integrations: Module responsible for data analysis tools such as Chatbase, Dashbot, BotAnalytics, RD Station, and Webhook. Artificial Intelligence: Module responsible for natural language processing (NLP) providers such as Dialogflow, Watson, and Luis. This functionality also has specific permissions for the sections: Providers, AI Model, and Improvement. Channels: Module responsible for configuring the channels (messaging applications) to which the bot will be integrated. All channels supported by the platform (WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, etc.) can be managed through this functionality. Help Desk: Module responsible for settings related to the human support tool used in the bot, such as Blip Desk. Bot Users: This functionality allows viewing and editing the contacts of customers who get in touch with the bot. Settings: Module responsible for sensitive application settings. Through this module, it is possible, among other things, to change the name/description and completely delete the application. Resource: Functionality responsible for storing contents related to a bot. Note: This functionality is more suitable for bots built using the SDK or HTTP API. Growth: Module responsible for grouping tools related to retention, engagement, and finding new users. Some of the resources present in these modules are: Scheduler and Facebook Ads. Message Log: Tool responsible for displaying all messages and notifications generated within the bot. Analytics: Module responsible for viewing the data generated within the bot. Through the analytics module, it is possible to create and view custom reports and graphs. Builder: Platform's visual bot building tool. Note: Currently, only the permissions: Write and No permission, are available for this functionality. Add Attendant to the Contract First, select the contract from the top menu. Access the contract panel from the top menu and in this panel access the item "attendants". From there, you will be able to access the page below and register the agent: Now you can associate the attendant through the chatbot's support screen. It's worth remembering that to have a view of what happens in your chatbot, you need to have: ➡Access to the contract ➡Access to the desired chatbot Note: For customers with the STARTUP, LITE, PLUS, or SUPER plan, refer to the article How to Add Agents in Blip Desk for more information.
