Introduction

Formatting text within the dashboard annotation components.

STILINGUE Studio has a new version of the Text Annotation component. Starting from this version, the component provides various text formatting options, allowing users to tell even richer stories through STILINGUE Studio.

 

Editing and Saving Text

To access the text component's editing mode, allowing for text insertion, editing, and deletion, simply click on the text editing area of the component. This is the area where the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to a text cursor, as shown in the image below:

 

 

The text is automatically saved when the end user finishes editing and clicks anywhere on the dashboard outside of the text editing area of the component. 

 

Formatting Options

Text formatting options are available at the bottom of the component throughout the entire time the text component is in user-editing mode. To apply any of the options, simply select the text and apply the desired formatting by clicking on the corresponding option in the formatting options bar:

 

 

To add a link, the user should select the text where it will be inserted and click on the Insert link option in the formatting options bar. Next, the user should enter the desired URL in the field shown on the screen, confirming the operation afterward. 

 

 

Once this is done, the link will be inserted into the desired text, allowing for clicking and redirection to the provided URL.

You can apply the following formatting to the text:

  • Styles: Title, Subtitle, and Text options determine different font sizes.
  • Numbered List: Add bullet-style markers to the selected text.
  • Bulleted List: Add numerical markers to the selected text.
  • Bold: Makes the selected text bold.
  • Italic: Makes the selected text italic.
  • Underline: Underlines the selected text.
  • Highlight Color: Makes the selected text have a different font color and highlights it.
  • Insert Link: Opens a box to insert a link into the selected text.
