[Extension] How to sell products through your bot with the Smart Sales extension in Blip October 15, 2026 20:37 Updated Introduction Features Installation Catalog setup Store setup Discounts and coupons General settings Using it in the Builder flow Smart Sales block setup Exit conditions Cart data in the bot Metrics and monitoring Error monitoring Support Brief description: Turn your bot into a sales showcase: customers browse a catalog, build their cart, and return to the conversation with the order ready to be confirmed. IntroductionSmart Sales adds a complete sales experience to your bot in Blip. The customer starts the conversation in the bot, opens a product catalog in their browser, chooses the items, builds their cart, and returns to the conversation with the order summary to confirm the purchase. For example, a customer who arrives through WhatsApp receives a link (or a catalog button) during the conversation. They open the store, filter products by category, add items to the cart, apply a coupon, and complete the purchase. The extension returns the order to the bot in the smartsalesOrder contact variable, and your flow continues to payment or human assistance. Features Catalog with a home page, product details page, and related products Manual product registration (up to 150 items), CSV file import, or integration with your own API Organization by categories and brands, search by name, and product variations (color, size, and others) Shopping cart with automatic or code-based coupons and discounts Store customization: logo, name, primary color, banners, and HTML injection in the header Currency configuration (BRL, COP, MXN, USD) and order summary message through Liquid Browsing and conversion metrics, sales funnel, and customer cart monitoring Supported on all channels on the Blip platform. On WhatsApp, the extension sends a catalog component with a header, body, footer, and button. On other channels, it sends the catalog link in a text message. InstallationGo to Smart Sales in Blip Store. You can also find it by searching for Smart Sales in the Blip Store. Open the extension and click Start free trial to install it on the desired bot. You can install it on a service bot (Builder) or on the Router. After installation, open the extension panel by clicking Smart Sales. Catalog setupGo to Catalog > Setup to choose the product source. There are two available sources: registration through Smart Sales itself and integration with your own API.Registration through Smart SalesSelect Smart Sales to register and maintain products within the extension. This source is limited to 150 products and does not provide inventory control.API integrationSelect API v1 to connect your own API that provides the products. Use this source when you need to keep products, prices, or inventory automatically updated from your system. The API must follow the Smart Sales specification and return fields such as name, description, original price, current price, category, brand, unit type, minimum quantity, SKU, images, and variations. The complete specification is available in the Smart Sales OpenAPI. The implementation guide, with a code example, also appears on the setup page when you select the API source. This procedure is only required the first time you connect your API.Authentication: every request must send the token in the Token header.Expected endpoints: GET /api/products: product list. POST /api/products: product list with a filter. GET /api/products/categories: category list. GET /api/products/brands: brand list. GET /api/products/{sku}: product details by SKU. GET /api/products/relatedProducts/{sku}: products related to an SKU. The listing endpoints accept the query parameters identity (identifies the request), skip (records to skip, default 0), and take (records to return, default 10). To test the integration, use the Postman collection. If you do not have an API yet, point the setup to the sample API at https://sample-api-v1.smartsales.whitewall.dev.Product registrationWith the Smart Sales source selected, go to Catalog > Products to register the items. Fill in the name, description, price, category, brand, SKU, unit type, minimum quantity, and images. Define variations when the product has options such as color, size, flavor, voltage, or model.Use a unique SKU for each product, keep prices up to date, and register images with public links without repeating the same image. Check the configured unit and validate the names and additional charges for each variation.Attention: registration through Smart Sales is limited to 150 products and does not provide inventory control. For larger catalogs or catalogs with inventory, use API integration. You can also register products by importing a CSV file, which follows the same product limit. Store setupAfter registering the products, go to Store > Theme to customize the store's appearance. On this screen, you configure the logo, store name, primary color, banners, and banner links. The extension displays a preview of the mobile version and lets you view the desktop version. For greater layout control, inject custom HTML into the store header. Discounts and couponsGo to Discounts to create promotional campaigns. Each discount has an internal name and description, used only for identification, and a coupon code. The discount amount can be fixed or a percentage. You can also define a minimum purchase amount; without this field, any order can use the discount. Restrict its validity to a period using the date fields, and disable a coupon at any time using the icon in the upper-right corner. If the coupon field is left empty, the discount is applied automatically when the customer meets the other criteria.Conditions provide detailed control over where the discount applies: you can restrict it by brand, category, or SKU. Through the Contact properties field, you can make the coupon available only to customers whose Blip contact has the specified fields. The combination works as follows: within the same field, the rule is an inclusive “or” (a discount for brands A and B applies to both). Across different fields, all fields must match (a discount for brand A and category Z applies only to products that meet both criteria). You can edit or delete existing coupons on the Discounts screen. When at least one coupon is registered, the customer gets a field to enter the code during checkout.Attention: each order uses only one coupon code, but automatic discounts may also be applied when the customer and products are eligible. General settingsOn the Settings page, define the store currency (BRL, COP, MXN, USD) and the summary message sent to the customer when they complete their cart. The summary message uses Liquid, so you can build the text with order data (items, subtotal, discount, and total). After receiving this message, the customer confirms the order, declines it, or does not respond. After 24 hours without a response, the extension treats the case as inactivity. These three behaviors are routed in your Builder flow. Using it in the Builder flowTo send the catalog within a flow, add the Smart Sales block in Builder. This requires Wiv's browser extension for Builder.Install the browser extensionInstall the Better Blip Builder extension in Chrome and accept the permissions.Add the block to the flow Open Builder and refresh the page. Click +. Select New integration. Choose Smart Sales. If the option does not appear, confirm that the browser extension is installed and refresh the page. If Smart Sales is installed on the Router, enable the router context in Builder. Smart Sales block setupIn the integration block, adjust the message the customer receives when starting the purchase. Configuring the components is optional: without changes, the extension uses the default text. The WhatsApp component is more flexible and lets you define a header, body, footer, and button text, in addition to the message body. The numbers to the right of each field indicate how many characters are still available. On other channels, the message is simple text with the catalog link.Define a name for the result variable. Use a descriptive name, such as resultSmartsales. It feeds the exit conditions in the next step. Save the block.Attention: the rich WhatsApp component is not sent on WhatsApp Web. Exit conditionsUse the result variable to route the flow. The possible values are: ACCEPT_TO_BUY: the customer confirmed the purchase. REFUSED_TO_BUY: the customer declined the purchase. INACTIVITY: the customer did not respond within 24 hours and the cart was abandoned. In addition to these values, you can configure other exit conditions in the block, as with any other Builder block. Cart data in the botWhen the product selection ends, the extension sends all cart information to the bot and saves the order in the smartsalesOrder contact variable, which you can read through contact.extras.smartsalesOrder.Payment completion and order registration are handled by your operation, either through human assistance in Blip Desk or an automated system. This step is not yet integrated by Smart Sales, so configure it in your flow. Metrics and monitoringThe extension dashboard brings together sales indicators: total order value, conversion rate, sent, open, and abandoned carts, most-clicked and most-purchased products, most-searched terms, and states and countries with the most visits. In Analytics > Carts, you can monitor each customer's cart; in Analytics > Insights, you can analyze the sales funnel. Error monitoringTo receive alerts about Smart Sales failures, use Blip's monitoring extension: Go to the Router to which Smart Sales belongs and install the Logs and error monitoring extension through the Blip Store. In its dashboard, click Manage alerts. Enter the email addresses that should receive the alerts and enable Enable event-based alerts. Add the Smart Sales Internal Error and Smart Sales Error events to monitoring. SupportIf you have questions or problems with the extension, contact us at support@wiv.com.br. Need more help?
