How to Log in to the Desk App with SSO on Blip – Blip | Blip Help

Single Sign-On (SSO) in the Desk App is an advanced authentication solution that aims to centralize your company's identity and access management. By integrating Blip Desk directly with the corporate identity provider, agents and operators start using a single credential to access various tools within the Blip ecosystem.

This approach drastically reduces the time spent on login screens, reduces the burden on the IT support team with password reset requests, and significantly raises the organization's security and data governance levels.

Before you begin

To carry out the procedure in this article, you need to ensure that you meet the following requirements:

This login method is intended exclusively for companies that have chosen to manage access through Single Sign-On via the Azure AD platform. If your account authentication is performed directly through the native Google or Apple buttons, you should disregard this flow. The "External Login" process was designed specifically for platforms such as Azure AD (Entra ID).
Make sure you have your organization's Contract ID on hand. This alphanumeric code is the key required to direct authentication traffic to the correct server. It can be obtained from the URL of the portal or the Desk on your computer.

Step by Step

How to access

Open the Blip Desk application (available in desktop version or mobile devices).
On the home screen, just below the traditional email and password fields, click the Sign in with external login button.
In the field titled Organization URL, carefully enter the code provided by the system administrator.
Review the data and click the Confirm button.

SSO Authentication

Once the contract is validated by the Blip platform, the user will be automatically redirected to the external security layer:

Wait for your identity provider screen (for example, the official Azure AD interface) to fully load.
Enter your corporate identifier (employee email) and the corresponding password.
If your organization uses Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) policies, complete the validation through the configured device (SMS, authenticator app, among other methods defined by your company).
Once authorized by the identity provider, the system will redirect the user back to Blip Desk, granting access to the service console.

Tips and Security

ID Formatting: When copying and pasting the Contract ID, make sure there are no blank spaces at the beginning or end of the text to avoid validation failures.
Session Policies: The length of time your session remains active strictly follows the expiration rules stipulated by your own company's information security and IT team.
Immediate Revocation: By being centralized in SSO, if a user is deactivated from the organization's main ecosystem, their access to Blip Desk is automatically blocked.
