New preference rule in Desk App (Beta) Contextualization Following usage conventions for mobile applications, it is necessary for the Desk to remain active, even if it is not the foreground application running on the mobile device. Therefore, the attendant must continue to receive tickets according to his settings even if the Desk application is closed on his smartphone. How it works? By activating the “Continue online when closing the Blip Desk” preference, the attendant will remain online and available to receive tickets even if the Desk application is closed, respecting its distribution settings (e.g. automatic distribution and number of simultaneous assistances allowed) How to configure? 1- Access the status and preferences tab 2 - Access preferences 3 - Enable/Disable Preference Switch Ready! Now you know the new rule and preference of the desk in the App(Beta). Notifications in Desk App (Beta) In order to receive service notifications in the Desk App, it is necessary to allow, on Android, the Desk application to send notifications to the user. After granting permission in the operating system, navigate to the preferences menu shown in the previous item. In this menu, we can see the preference group “Notification” and the option “Push notifications”, activate the switch of this option and then the notification options for the Desk App will be shown. You can configure the following options: Notify new tickets in the queue; Notify new automatically distributed tickets; Notify new messages; Each of these options, when activated, will show an icon in the smartphone's alert bar when the corresponding event occurs in the Desk App (e.g. when a new ticket is received for assistance). If the device also has the volume profile turned on, notifications also sound an alert.
