If someone undoes an action, the engagement continues to be counted. Encrypted MessagesX (formerly Twitter) offers some accounts an additional security feature called "private and protected conversations" (Additional Message Privacy). When this feature is enabled, X begins end-to-end encrypting certain interactions received through the Inbox—such as direct messages (DMs)—as an additional layer of protection against unauthorized access.However, this encryption also prevents tools such as Stilingue from automatically reading the content of these conversations through the API. Therefore, for Stilingue to correctly collect, process, and display these protected interactions, it is necessary to provide the 4-digit PIN that was registered when the private conversations feature was enabled on the X account.Important points about this PIN: It is set by the user when the feature is enabled on X, and is not generated by Stilingue. It is unique to each connected page—that is, if Stilingue is integrated with more than one X account/page, each one will have a different PIN, which must be registered individually. Without the correct PIN, Stilingue cannot decrypt these interactions, which means that these specific Inbox conversations simply do not appear on the platform, even if the X integration is working normally for the rest of the content. If the user does not remember the PIN, they must access the privacy and security settings of their own X account to reset it, since it cannot be recovered or viewed by Stilingue.
