[Extension] How to integrate RD Station with Blip September 24, 2026 18:37 Updated Introduction Features Installation and configuration Add RD Station actions in Builder Configure active WhatsApp messages through RD Station Marketing Best practices and points of attention Support Brief description: Connect RD Station CRM and RD Station Marketing to your Blip chatbot to create and update contacts, register events, and send active WhatsApp messages, all through the bot flow. IntroductionThe RD Station - Marketing and CRM extension connects your Blip chatbot to your RD Station CRM and RD Station Marketing accounts. Within the bot flow, you can look up, create, and update contacts, fill in custom fields, apply or remove tags, and register events using the data provided by the contact during the interaction. For example, when a lead finishes a conversation on WhatsApp, the bot creates the contact in RD Station Marketing with their name, email, and phone number, applies a tag, and registers a conversation-end event. The extension also works in the opposite direction: from an RD Station Marketing automation, it sends an active WhatsApp message to leads that entered the flow. FeaturesThe extension has two independent integrations, RD Station CRM and RD Station Marketing, each with its own authentication.RD Station CRM actions: Look up a contact by email, phone number, or name Create or update a contact, including custom fields RD Station Marketing actions: Look up a contact by email or UUID Create or update a contact with name, phone number, city, state, country, job title, bio, and custom fields Apply tags to a contact Remove tags from a contact Register a conversion event Register a conversation-start event Register a conversation-end event, with the option to save the service ticket ID Send active WhatsApp messages from an RD Station Marketing automation Supported channels: integration actions with RD Station CRM and RD Station Marketing work on all channels available on the Blip platform. Sending active messages from RD Station Marketing works only on WhatsApp.Prerequisites Access to a bot or Router in Blip, with permission to install extensions An RD Station CRM API token to use the CRM actions An active RD Station Marketing account to use the Marketing actions and events Google Chrome with the Builder extension installed to add the actions in Builder For active messages: an approved WhatsApp message template and a Router with WhatsApp connected Installation and configurationInstall the extension in Blip Enable the RD Station - Marketing and CRM on Blip Store extension. Select the bot or Router where you will use the extension and complete the installation. The extension will appear in the bot's list of installed extensions. Open the extension from the bot menu. The Settings screen opens with the RD Station CRM and RD Station Marketing tabs. The two integrations have separate authentication. Configure CRM and Marketing independently, according to what you will use.Configure RD Station CRMThe CRM integration uses an API token. Generate the token in your RD Station CRM account: In your RD Station CRM account, click your name in the upper-right corner. Go to Settings. Select Preferences. Open API Tokens. Enable token generation for users. Return to your profile and click Generate token. Copy the displayed token. For details about generating the token in your account, see the RD Station token guide. With the token in hand, return to Blip:Open the extension in the bot where it was installed and go to the RD Station CRM tab. Paste the token into the Token field. Click Save and wait for confirmation. RD Station CRM actions become available in the bot flow. Attention: the token is an access credential. Do not share the token or expose it in public images. Configure RD Station MarketingThe Marketing integration uses account login, not a token. In the extension, go to the RD Station Marketing tab. Click Log in. Sign in to your RD Station account if prompted. Select the account you want to connect and click Continue. Authorize the connection. After authorization, the extension displays confirmation that the account is connected, and RD Station Marketing actions become available in the flow.By logging in, you agree to the Wiv terms of use and privacy policy.Note: RD Station Marketing authorization may expire. If an action that used to work starts failing, open the extension, check the connection status, and log in again. To switch accounts, use Log in with another account. Install the extension in the Chrome browserTo add RD Station actions directly in Builder, install the Builder extension in Google Chrome. On the extension settings screen, click Install extension.Blip opens a new tab in the Chrome Web Store. Click Use in Chrome and confirm the installation. Return to Blip and refresh the page by pressing F5. If the integration option does not appear in Builder, refresh the page and confirm that the extension is active in the browser. Add RD Station actions in BuilderOpen the Builder for the bot where you want to use the integration. Click the + icon to add a block. Select New integration. Open the created block and go to Actions. Click Integration. Select RD Station. Choose between CRM and Marketing. Select the desired action. In CRM, the actions are Get contact and Create or update contact. In Marketing, you have Get contact, Create or update contact, Remove tags from contact, Conversion event, Conversation-start event, and Conversation-end event.Configure the action fieldsAfter choosing the action, map the RD Station fields to the contact's data in Blip. Each field accepts: Fixed values Contact variables, such as {{contact.email}} Flow variables and data collected during the conversation RD Station custom fields Also define a Result variable. It stores the integration response and is used to validate in the flow whether the action was completed or an error occurred. To finish: Save the configuration. Publish the flow by clicking the rocket icon. Test with a valid contact. Check the result in RD Station. Configure active WhatsApp messages through RD Station MarketingThe extension also sends active WhatsApp messages from an RD Station Marketing automation. Install the extension on the Router, especially when you need to direct the contact to a specific bot after they respond. This configuration requires RD Station Marketing to be connected.Open the extension and go to WhatsApp Automation.Configure sending in the extensionSelect the parent Router bot with WhatsApp connected and continue. Under Phone, choose where the extension gets the lead's number: Mobile, Landline, or a custom field. Select the approved WhatsApp Message template. Fill in the template variables. Each variable accepts a fixed value or an RD Station lead variable, such as [email], [name], [mobile_phone], or [custom.field]. If the template has an image in the header, enter the Media link. Under Place user in bot, choose whether the contact enters a flow after responding. If enabled, select the destination Bot and Flow. Copy the URL generated by the extension and click Next. Create the automation in RD Station Marketing Access your RD Station Marketing account. In the Engage menu, select Marketing Automation. Create or open an automation flow. Define the trigger that starts the flow.At the point where you want to send the WhatsApp message, create an action of the Send Leads to Integration type, in the Lead Path category. In the example below, the automation sends a WhatsApp message to leads whose "campoTesteWiv" field is filled in.Paste the URL generated by the extension into the created action. Click Save and Activate and confirm activation. Test with a valid contact and check whether the message arrives on WhatsApp. After the flow is triggered, the extension processes the leads and requests that Blip send the message. Best practices and points of attention Independent authentication: having CRM connected does not guarantee that Marketing is also connected. Check both settings separately. Variable format: send each field in the format expected by the action. Empty fields, objects sent as text, or values in the wrong format may cause the integration to fail. Start by testing simple fields, such as name, email, and phone number, and add the others gradually. Custom fields: they must already exist in RD Station and receive values compatible with their type. A date field must receive a valid date, a numeric field must receive numbers, and a selection field must receive one of the available options. Phone number for active messages: enter the number in international format, such as 5514999999999, without spaces, parentheses, or hyphens. Template variables: the number and order of the variables must match those in the WhatsApp-approved template. Contact placement: if you enable routing after the response, confirm that the bot and block still exist and are published. Flow publication: changes in Builder only take effect after publishing. Publish again after any integration change. Do not expose tokens or credentials in images.
