Error Logging and Monitoring in Blip is a tool that allows users to analyze and monitor exceptions that occur in their chatbot.

 

How to install the extension

  1. Log in to the Blip platform.
  2. Access the Blip Store
  3. Search for "Logs and Error Monitoring" and select it.
  4. Install the extension on the desired bot.

What can I do in the extension?

With the error analysis and monitoring tool from the Blip platform, you can:

  • View a list of all errors recorded in the last 7 days.
  • Get detailed information about each error, including the date and time it occurred, the error type, a description of the error, and the last occurrence.
  • Set up alerts for specific errors so that you're notified when an error occurs.
  • Downloading CSV files with information about users impacted by errors.

How to use the extension

To use the tool, follow these steps:

  1. Access the Blip platform on the bot where you installed the extension.
  2. In the menu bar, select Logs and Error Monitoring.
  3. The list of errors will be displayed in the error panel.
  • To get more information about an error, click on the error;
  • To create an alert for an error, click on Manage Alerts and select Create Alert.
  • In the Create Alert dialog box, enter the alert information and click Create.
  • To download a CSV file with the users impacted by an error, click on the error and select Download CSV with impacted users.

Usage example

Suppose you want to analyze an error that occurred on a specific day. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Access the tool on the Blip platform website.
  2. In the menu bar, select Logs and Error Monitoring.
  3. The list of errors will be displayed in the error panel.
  4. Locate the error that occurred on the day.
  5. Click on the error to get more information.

 

 

The error information will be displayed in the error panel. In the example, the error information is as follows:

  • Type: FlowConstructionException
  • Description: [Flow Construction] The processing of the action "ExecuteScript' has failed. You can use this information to determine the cause of the error and fix it.
