Installation and configuration Support Introduction Salesforce is a powerful management platform. The extension integrates Blip Desk with Salesforce, allowing Desk to be used directly within Salesforce. How does it work? The extension Salesforce Blip Desk has the following features: Add Blip Desk to an app in Salesforce (action bar); Add Blip Desk to a specific Salesforce page. Installation and configuration First, install the extension from the Blip Store. Then, visit the extension page. To complete the setup, you need to enter the Salesforce subdomain. If you accessed Salesforce at the URLhttps://whitewall.lightning.force.com, the subdomain would be “whitewall”. After activating the extension in Blip, also install the extension in Salesforce by clicking “Install extension”. In Salesforce, select “Install for all users” and click “Install.” Grant the necessary permissions. Click continue. After installing the extension in Salesforce, return to the extension page in Blip. If you want to have the extension installed in a Salesforce application (Sales, Automation, etc.), click on the “Desk in App” tab and follow the guide (alternatively, see section 3.1). In this case, Desk will be available in the application's action bar. It is also possible to place the Desk on a specific page, which allows greater control over where the Desk will be positioned. If you prefer this option, visit the “Single Page Desk” tab and follow the instructions (alternatively, see section 3.2). 3.1 Desk in application Attention: Make sure the extension is installed in Salesforce. Attention: the application must be of Lightning type. Attention: You can add Desk to as many applications as you want. Access the App Configuration page in Salesforce. To access it, visithttps://[subdominio].lightning.force.com/lightning/setup/NavigationMenus/home, replacing [sudomain] with your subdomain. Locate the desired application. Make sure it is of the "Lightning". The application of Automation will be used as an example. You should click to edit the app. In the Lightning App Builder, select the "Utility Items (Desktop Only)". Click to add an item, look for "blipDesk". Click on the item to add. Configure the component as you see fit. You can rename it to"Blip Desk", add a chat icon and resize it. After completing the settings, click"Save",at the bottom of the page. Done! To check, visit any page of the configured application. An icon with the Desk will appear on the bottom bar(action bar). 3.2 Desk on one page Attention: Make sure the extension is installed in Salesforce. Attention: You can add the Desk to as many pages as you want. Attention:Not all Salesforce pages are supported. Visit the desired page. The “Cases” page is used as an example. Select any case, open the settings and select "Edit page". If the “Edit page” field does not appear, this means that the chosen page is not supported. In the Lightning App Builder, in the left menu, look for the "blipDesk". Drag the component to the position you find appropriate. See the following case. To publish the page, click"Save"(in the top right corner). Set the page as the organization's default. Done! To check, return to the case page.
