Introduction

Segment is an extension that allows data integration from various sources. With it, you can build your own integration and use it for deeper and more efficient data analysis. Segment was developed for companies looking to better understand their chatbot conversations and customer profiles.

This extension is paid and developed by the company White Wall.

How it works?

The Segment extension offers the following features:

• Data centralization;
• Simple integration;
• Real-time data sending.

Installation and configuration

In Segment, visit your sources catalog and click on "Add Source".

Search for "Blip" in the catalog and click on it to add the source.

On the next screen, give a name to the source (use a descriptive name). If you want to use the extension in more than one bot, you can use "Blip-myBotName", for example.

Add the tag corresponding to the source environment. For example, "environment" for the development version. Then, click on "Add Source" to save your settings.

Next, copy the "Write Key" from Segment.

In your Blip account, access the Blip Store, search for "Segment", and install the extension. After this, go to your bot's page and open the extension.

Paste the "Write Key" into the corresponding field and click Save.
