Removing PIN/Two-Factor Authentication from WhatsApp September 23, 2024 18:16 Updated Every number when activated must have the PIN, two-factor authentication, activated. This configuration prevents the number from being migrated to another WABA, business portfolio. Removal of authentication must occur when it is necessary to migrate the number. This process can be done either by the Portfolio that owns WABA, or by the BSP in which the number was activated, removal does not impact the functioning of the number. The business portfolio is also known as: Business Manager, Business Manager or BM. Below are the steps to remove authentication. You can only perform the following steps if you have access to WABA, if you do not have access, you must request the BSP to remove two-factor authentication. Access the business manager Select menu WhatsApp accounts Select the WABA where the number is active Click on the option WhatsApp Manager, in the bottom right corner Click on gear corresponding to the number that needs authentication removed Select the option Two-step confirmation Click on the option Disable two-step confirmation Then click OK You will be sent a message in the email displayed in the previous step.
