[Extension] How to Send Leads from Your Chatbot to RD Station in Blip October 26, 2026 19:14 Updated Introduction How to Send Leads to RD Station How the Extension Handles Data Example Best Practices Support Brief description: Create or update contacts in RD Station CRM and RD Station Marketing directly from the Builder flow, with custom fields and tags populated based on the lead's responses. IntroductionSales and support bots generate leads all the time, but without integration, this data remains stuck in the conversation and someone has to manually copy it to the CRM later. This delays the sales team's first contact and allows the lead to lose interest. With the RD Station extension, the Builder flow itself creates or updates contacts in RD Station CRM and RD Station Marketing while the conversation is happening, filling in custom fields and tags based on the user's responses. The contact is located by email: if it already exists, the extension updates the data; if not, it creates a new one. To send WhatsApp messages from RD automations, see the article about WhatsApp automation with RD Station Marketing. Before you startBefore configuring lead submission, make sure that: The extension is enabled. Enable RD Station in Blip Store. The RD Station account is connected in the extension's Settings tab: enter the Token in the RD Station CRM tab and/or log in through the RD Station Marketing tab, depending on where you want to save the contact. The Builder browser extension is installed. The RD Station integration action appears in Builder through this browser extension, available through the Install extension link on the Settings screen. The bot flow already collects the lead's data in Builder variables. The custom fields you intend to send already exist in RD Station. The extension loads the list of fields directly from your account. How to Send Leads to RD StationOpen the bot in Blip and, in Builder, access the flow where the lead's data is collected. In the block where the lead should be sent, add an integration action. Under Integration, select RD Station. Integrations run as block exit actions, meaning they are executed when the conversation leaves the block.Under RD Station, choose the contact destination: CRM or Marketing. Then, under Action, select Create or update contact.Fill in the fields with the bot variables. The set of fields changes depending on the destination: CRM: Email (required and used to locate the contact), Name, Mobile phone, and the custom fields that exist in your RD Station CRM account. Marketing: Email (required), Name, Mobile phone, City, State, Country, Job, Bio, the account's custom fields, and one or more Tags, added under Add new tag. Under Save response, enter the Result variable. The extension saves the created or updated contact to it, so you can use it in the rest of the flow.Publish the flow and test it by simulating the entry of a new lead through the chatbot.Access RD Station and confirm that the contact was created or updated with the submitted data. How the Extension Handles Data The contact is identified by Email. When a contact with that email already exists, the extension updates the submitted fields and preserves the rest; when it does not exist, it creates a new contact. In RD Station Marketing, submitted tags are added to the contact's existing tags without deleting the previous ones, and are stored in lowercase. ExampleA company uses the chatbot to capture the details of people interested in a product and sends this data to RD Station as soon as the lead responds. The sales or marketing team continues the relationship without copying information between platforms. Best Practices Make sure the flow captures the lead's email, since it is the key to creating or updating the contact. Check that the custom fields you will fill in exist in RD Station before configuring the action. Test the flow before publishing it to production. In RD Station Marketing, use tags to segment leads that arrive through the chatbot. SupportIf you have questions or problems with the extension, contact us at support@wiv.com.br. Need more help?
