[Extension] How to create your first automation between Blip and other apps with Zapier October 26, 2026 19:31 Updated Introduction Step-by-step What to validate before activating Support Brief description: Connect Blip to more than 8,000 apps with Zapier. Activate a ready-made template through the extension Marketplace, enter the Bot ID and Public Key, and manage your automations without leaving the Portal. IntroductionConnecting Blip to a CRM, spreadsheet, or marketing tool often requires custom development. The Zapier extension eliminates this work: you create automations between Blip and more than 8,000 apps directly from the Portal, with no code.An automation (called a Zap in Zapier) connects an event in one app to an action in another. With Blip integrated, you can send WhatsApp messages based on external events, sync contacts with your CRM, or trigger systems when something happens in the bot. This guide shows you how to create your first automation: obtain the connection credentials, activate a ready-made template in the Marketplace, and manage your Zaps in the Portal. Before you begin Activate Zapier in the Blip Store and open the extension in the Control Panel within the Portal. Have a Zapier account. Attention: each extension plan has an automation limit. When you reach the limit, the Portal asks you to upgrade to the PRO plan before creating new automations. Step-by-step Open the extension in the Control Panel and access the Connection tab. Copy the Bot ID and Public Key. You use these two values to authenticate Blip in Zapier. Access the Marketplace tab. Search among more than 8,000 apps using the search field or choose one of the ready-made integration templates. Click Activate on the desired template. If you prefer to build one from scratch, use New integration or Create integration from scratch. The action opens Zapier in a new tab. In Zapier, confirm Blip as the trigger or action for the automation, according to the selected template.Connect your Blip account by pasting the Bot ID and Public Key copied from the Connection tab.Configure the fields that will be sent or received at each step.Run a test.Review the data returned in the test and confirm that the destination system received the information.Activate the automation.Return to the Portal and open the My integrations tab to view and edit your automations and turn each one on or off. The first time, sign in to your account using the Sign in with Zapier button. What to validate before activating The Bot ID and Public Key were entered correctly. The required fields were completed and the variables are arriving with data. The destination system received the information in the test. The automation is turned on in the My integrations tab. Most errors result from incorrect credentials, empty required fields, or data in a different format than expected. Run a controlled test before publishing.
