How to connect your chatbot on Instagram? February 24, 2023 19:15 Updated Important: to connect to Instagram, the user must simultaneously have the permanent administrator permission of the company's Facebook page and Instagram account. In the Blip Portal, select the chatbot you want to activate your account and in the “Channels” tab select “Connect” on the Instagram card. On the screen that appears, read the instructions and click on “Start Connection”. Step 1 In the first step, you need to ensure that your business has a Facebook business page. If not, the page can be created through this link. Once the company's commercial page is ready, click on “I have a commercial page” to proceed. Step 2 In the next step, you need to verify that your company's Instagram account is set up as a professional account. To do this, access the Instagram application on your smartphone and follow this path: Menu > Settings > Account > Switch to professional account. Find out more details here. Click on “I have a professional account” to proceed. Step 3 In this step you will need to link your Instagram account with your Facebook business page. Remembering that you need to be an administrator of the facebook page to perform this assignment. The process is simple, just follow the steps below: Open your Facebook business page. Select “Settings” from the menu on the left. Select “Instagram”. To add an Instagram account to your Page, select “Connect Account”. Make sure the “Allow access to Instagram messages in inbox” option is enabled and click “Continue”. Enter your Instagram account username and password and select “Sign In”. Now you need to allow Facebook access to Instagram messages. Follow the steps below in the Instagram app: Access your Instagram business profile. Access the menu and select “Settings”. Follow the onscreen instructions to proceed with the connection. Message access permission not granted If we identify that access to messages on the Instagram account has not been granted, we will present the screen below. Blip needs access to Instagram messages for the integration to work properly. Follow these steps to perform this setup on your Instagram account. Important: Do this procedure directly in the Instagram app and not on the website. Some permission not granted in login and setup step with Facebook in Blip After you log in with your Facebook account (in the pop-up window), if you disable any whitelist option as shown in the image below, you will not be able to successfully terminate the connection. Blip needs access to all the permissions that appear in the list for the Instagram integration to work properly. If you have disabled any option (as shown in the image above), the screen below will be displayed. Redo the connection process and keep all listed permissions enabled.
