Why Should the Brand Owner File the Report?

To ensure maximum effectiveness and speed in taking down these numbers, the report must be filed directly by your team.

According to Meta’s guidelines, only the brand owner has the legal standing to officially report an Intellectual Property violation. When the report comes directly from the owner, the process is prioritized and receives a significantly faster response time compared to requests made by intermediaries.
 

How to Submit a Ticket to Meta

Follow the step-by-step instructions below to report an intellectual property violation through Meta’s official support channel:

  • Access Meta's official support channel through the link: https://business.facebook.com/direct-support

  • On the homepage, click the Ask a Question button.

  • In the topics menu, select the option WABiz: Account & WABA.

  • In the Request Type field, choose Report a Security Breach.

  • Fill in the WhatsApp Account field with your WABA ID.

  • In the Registered Phone Number field, enter an official phone number from your company.

  • Fill in the request details using the template below and attach screenshots or files that prove the fraud.

  • After reviewing the information, click Submit to send.

Meta will review the case and send feedback directly through your support panel.
