Make the necessary annotations in your publications quickly and easily.

In the Classify section, you can check the publications automatically classified by the tool and also edit and/or add these classifications manually.

 

Introduction

To locate this area in Listening, refer to the guide for Access through the sidebar in this section.

Before you start, click on the filter to choose the publications you need to classify. Information about the publication will be displayed as follows:

1. Sort by

Organize publications according to: Hottest, Newest, Oldest, Highest AAA Score, Most Liked, Most Interactions, Most Shared, Most Commented, Most Followers/Subscribers. 

2. Export publications

It is possible to export up to 30k publications in CSV format.

3. Pagination

Move to the next page. You can also choose a specific page from the search to access by entering the desired number and clicking on the arrow.

4. Quantity

Choose how many publications you want to see per pagination. Options are: 20, 40, 60, 80, and 100.

5. Group

Indicates the Groups related to a publication. It is possible to edit, delete, or assign more than one Group.

6. Interest 

If you identify an interest that this publication represents, you can manually categorize it. It is important to note that, unlike other manual annotations such as sentiment, themes, groups, and tags, the interests related to publications in your research are not available and cannot be accessed in the export file (explained in item 4). 

7. Theme 

Here, you will see the Themes to which the publication has been classified. If desired, you can delete or add new Themes.

8. Tags

You can tag the publication with the tags you have created or see what the tool has automatically classified if you have set up the automatic tagging rule. To tag the post, you need to click the “+” button.

9. Similar

Filtering by similarity, the system will search within the research for publications that have text similar to that publication. You can annotate all at once with the Multiple Edit function.

 

What are the criteria for a publication to be considered "similar" to another? 

The more similar the terms in a post, the more likely the posts are to be grouped together. The retweets of a post on Twitter would easily be grouped for classification with the same tag/theme/sentiment, etc., for example.

 

How it works?

Simply choose the publication you want to filter and click on "similar," as shown in the image below. It is important to remember that the publications considered in this criterion will be brought respecting the filter that is already applied. Therefore, if you are filtering only last 24 hours, the result will only bring the similar ones within that time interval. 

 

Classify - icons and zoom

Information about the publication will be arranged as follows: items 1 to 9 are in the first part of the guide. The second part can be followed in sequence: 

10. Type of profile

Define the type of profile of the author of the publication (male, female, and organization).

11. Sentiment

Through emojis (emojis), choose the sentiment of the publication, with options being positive, neutral, or negative.

12. Access, copy, and mark as checked 

In this row, there are three buttons:

  • Access original post: View the publication. You are directed to the publication directly where it was collected.

    • Note: this option functions differently for Facebook lives. In these cases, if you click on the lock of a comment made in a live, you will be redirected to the publication of the live itself and not to the comment.

  • Copy link of the original post: You can copy the original link of the publication to send to someone or export it.

  • Mark as checked:  You can mark that it is a verified publication.

13. Ban user

After the user is banned, the tool will no longer collect anything about the author, including Listening or any area of the tool. Additionally, all collected publications from this author will be deleted.

Note: When banning a user from STILINGUE, that user's posts are removed from the client's search. However, when the banned user mentions the proprietary page, comments made in this mention of the user continue to be collected because, despite the mention being deleted due to the ban, it remains in the collection queue for 30 days, resulting in the collection of comments in that mention.

The collection of comments from this mention that the banned user made continues for up to 30 days after the mention (the collection rule we have today). Therefore, in cases where clients aim not to collect comments in mention, this workaround of banning the user does not work.

14. Trash

Delete the publication.

15. Edited

When you manually categorize a publication, a message will be displayed indicating that the post has been edited and how long ago.

This option is only available for Twitter. See the image below: 

 

Zoom to classify

You already know that in practically every area of the system, you can click on the graphs and open a zoom for a detailed view of that data slice, right?

By clicking on the icon in this area, you will be redirected to a Classify page based on the filter applied in this zoom. This way, you can analyze the graphs and quickly classify sentiment, tags, themes, and other elements as needed.

The icon will only work with graphs applied in the Listening filter. In cases where this situation does not apply, this icon will not be available. An example is the When They're Talking area in the sidebar. You cannot access it in the zoom because the available data is hourly, not by date, which is the metric considered in this visualization.
