What - Publications Filter May 07, 2024 15:33 Updated Index: How it works Conversation Filter How it works Learn how to cross-reference data to locate organic publications within your research. The Publication Filter is a feature available in the Listening areas that assists you in combining data to find specific publications according to the parameters you choose. You can merge information such as publication date, type of interactions, annotated publications, among many others. Locate the filter icon on the right side of the page: 1. Groups Choose the groups created earlier in the Search Configuration. If you want to locate publications collected by a specific group, you need to uncheck the "Select All" option and then mark the groups you would like to search for. By "selecting all," you are searching only for groups that have publications in the filter. In other words, when choosing a date range in the filter, only the groups present in that filter will be considered, excluding the "unfiltered" ones. You also have the option to negate a group so that no publication collected by it will be displayed. To do this, click on the selected group; it will be marked with a negative symbol and will not return publications in the search. 2. Themes You can filter publications classified with themes entered in the Search Configuration. When you select all themes and click again until they lose the checkmark, this field will appear as "Unclassified." The filter will show only publications that have not received classification (automatic or manual) for any of the themes created in the Search Configuration. When you select "all," the search considers only themes with publications in the filter. In other words, when choosing a date in the filter, only the themes present in that filter will be considered, excluding the "unfiltered" ones. Similar to groups, you can select one or more themes, not select, and negate a specific theme to prevent it from appearing in publications returned by the filter. To negate, click on the theme, and it will appear with a negative symbol. 3. Tags Search for tags registered in the Search Configuration or created in the Classify section. You can either type the tag name or choose a specific one located within the field. By selecting this option, you will find posts that have been classified with the chosen tag. To find posts that have not been classified with any tag, type "no tags" in the field. If you want to exclude a tag, simply start typing it with a negative sign (-) before the tag name. 4. Textual Search in Publications You can search by the text of the publications for more accurate results. Additionally, you can use parameters of boolean search to combine words and disregard others. It is important to note that when performing a textual search, the platform locates parameters from the 300,000 most recent publications. After searching for the text entered in this field (considering the 300,000 most recent publications), other filter aspects will be analyzed. In other words, if an author, date, group, or another category is entered in the filter, it will be analyzed along with the textual search. 5. Sentiment You can find posts that have been classified with one or two sentiments by unchecking the option (clicking on the icon) you do not want to include in the search. Sentiments are divided into: Positive, Negative, Neutral. 6. Search by Publication ID By entering the publication ID number, you have the option to segment the filter, bringing only relevant results for you. To find the ID, go to the Publications Wall: If you want to search for more than one ID at a time, separate them with commas. 7. Media Type You can choose the format of publications, including: text, image, video, or audio. If you don't want any of these options to appear in the filter, click on the icon to make it gray, and it will not be considered in the search. Note: audio collects clippings online and offline, a service integrated with STILINGUE. You can also choose the maximum or minimum number of likes for publications: Note: when selecting more than one parameter in the filter, whether it's two or more groups, themes, tags, channels, and others, the filter brings publications that meet one or another criterion, or both. Example: if you want to filter publications classified with tags "A" and "B" and enter both in the filter, only publications with tag "A" will be considered, only those with tag "B" will be displayed, and publications that have both tags classified at the same time. This action works for almost all filter criteria, including: groups, themes, tags, sentiment, publication IDs, type, channels, locations, languages, devices, gender, authors, files, and classified by.
