Introduction

Know which operators are responsible for collecting YouTube videos and comments.

Network operators represent the feature that enables the collection of only organic and public posts from a page, comments made on the page, or comments from a specific post. In the case of YouTube, videos or comments on videos from a channel are collected. 

 

How to use?

The operators are inserted within the groups and themes of the Search Configuration, and each one has a specific character. Understand the differences between them:

Access the Configuration area through the side menu or the card:

At the time the operator is registered in the search, the system can include the latest 50 videos from the channel in the last 2 days. 

Next, two different situations may occur for retrospective collection:

1. When the video in question is not in the STILINGUE database

In this case, the video (within the limitations described above) will be included in the search. 

2. When the video in question is in the STILINGUE database

If the video is already in the database, it will not be included in the search. The comment may have entered through other searches looking for similar terms. Therefore, the collection guarantee will apply to videos made after the operator's registration.

Note: Publication collection only occurs when network operators are inserted into Groups. By inserting them into Themes, they take on the role of classifying the content collected by descriptors contained in Groups. 

Important! To ensure page collection in Listening, it is necessary to use the ID descriptor within the Group. It is not required to be in the profiles, as they serve different functions.

Remember:

• Add Profiles: it enters the search only if there is a match with any descriptor of the groups;
• Network Operator: collects all profile's publications. When inserted in a group, it collects everything it covers and ensures the match with the specified group.

Within the search, the operator looks like this:

 

To locate the channel ID, select the part containing the highlighted letter sequence in the link:

After locating the ID, copy and paste it after the "colon" of the operator:

Attention! Be careful when copying video, post, and comment IDs directly from URLs. Do not insert the symbols "&" or "/" alongside the sequence of numbers or letters that compose the URL. These characters hinder collection when added immediately after the operator. 

Note:  In case the link has a personalized URL that displays the channel name instead of the letter sequence, it is necessary to find the ID in another way.

At the moment when the operator is registered in the search, the system can include the last 500 comments on the channel's videos from the past 2 days. 

Next, two different situations may occur for retrospective collection:

1. When the comment in question is not in the STILINGUE database.

In this case, the comment (within the limitations described above) will be included in the study. 

2. When the comment in question is in the STILINGUE database

If the comment is already in the database, it will not be included in the search. The comment may have entered through other searches looking for similar terms. Therefore, the collection guarantee will apply to comments made after the operator's registration.

Note:  in this specific case, comments on videos older than the date the operator was registered will only be collected (retroactively) if the publication receiving these comments is among the 100 most recent ones, relative to the moment the operator was registered in the Search Configuration.
