Add blogs January 18, 2024 12:12 Updated Index: Introduction How the collection works Introduction Improve the collection of posts in your research by adding blogs and websites related to the researched topic. STILINGUE's Search Configuration includes an area for the inclusion of blogs, portals, and websites that are not yet part of the system, so that the collection of posts becomes increasingly comprehensive. When adding a specific site that is important for your research, posts from that page will be collected if they meet the following conditions: the posts must be delivered by the external aggregator used by STILINGUE to fetch posts from websites and blogs; the terms registered in the Groups need to match the published content. How the collection works News, reports, and other types of text publications can be part of your collection in the registered search. To access this content, the websites need to be stored in the STILINGUE database, which already has a large number of blogs and portals. When registering a new blog in the search configuration, you contribute to this database of websites, making more content available. Important: STILINGUE does not guarantee that all publications will be collected, even after the blog has been added in this area, as we depend on integration with an external aggregator to collect these publications. To add a blog, simply insert the URL (page address) or RSS feed into the available field in the Search Configuration: Note: In order for the blog to be adopted as a means of collection, it must have an "RSS feed" (a content distribution format that allows access by aggregators and other tools). The field for adding blogs allows inclusion both by URL and by RSS feed. Blogs that meet this criterion are marked with an icon at the top of the page: For blogs that do not have this icon in the interface, you can check by accessing the link: https://feedly.com/i/welcome to see if the blog is eligible to be collected. If it is not, the following message will appear: Once a blog is added to the search, it cannot be removed within the field. However, it is possible to remove a specific blog by banning the related user. The presence of blogs in the list does not affect other parameters of your search. Note: When banning a user from STILINGUE, that user's posts are removed from the client's search. However, when this banned user mentions the owner's page, comments made in this user's mention continue to be collected because, even though the mention is excluded due to banning, it remains in the collection queue for 30 days, resulting in the collection of comments in that mention. The collection of comments from this mention that the banned user made continues for up to 30 days after the mention (the collection rule we have today). Therefore, in cases where clients want to avoid collecting mentions of a specific brand or media outlet, banning the user does not work.
