Discover the geographical distribution of your audience.

The WHERE They Are Talking area is part of the Discoveries module and consists of a map with all geolocated posts present in your search, according to the defined filter. 

It is important to emphasize that geolocated posts are only those where the author marked the location before posting. In other words, STILINGUE does not consider information from the user's profile.

How it works

To access, look for Discoveries > WHERE They're Talking on the left side menu:

There are four display formats for publications on the map: Markers, Clusters, Heatmap, and Geocloud.

1. Markers

This option indicates on the map in a straightforward manner where the authors who marked the location of their publication are located.

2.  Clusters

This graph reveals not only the location but also the quantity of publications per marker.

3. Heatmap 

The heatmap shows the "Hotter" locations in terms of publication quantity: the more red, the higher the volume of publications.

4. Geocloud

In addition to displaying the location, this visualization option also reveals the relevant terms for collecting publications.

5. Search Field

Through the search field, it is also possible to perform more refined searches, including State, City, Neighborhood, or Street:

The map has a zoom option for satellite viewing or using Google Street View:

More information about geolocated publications can be obtained by accessing the zoom, clicking on the marker:

Below the map, you can check the list of cities, states, and countries organized by the number of geolocated publications. In addition to Brazilian locations, this list includes cities, states, and/or countries where Spanish is spoken.

It is worth noting that the column "Country" is used to identify cities with the same name in different countries. Use the highlighted search field to conduct searches by location.

Export the map

You can, at any time, export the report or reload the chart with the original filter configuration. Refer to the guide on Exporting and Generating Reports to understand this operation step by step.

Thus, you will have more accurate insights about the location of users who produce the content collected in your research.
