Origin of Likes - Facebook

Understand where page likes come from and facilitate your analysis.

Within the area of Proprietary Metrics, there is important data for analyzing user engagement with your connected pages. 

In the side menu, click on "Origin of Likes" (within the Facebook Insights area):

The value presented in this graph shows the likes on the page, taking into account the date they were made. Therefore, if a sponsored post appears to a user, and they like the page from that post, the like will originate from the sponsored post according to the date of the like. 

Afterward, check the quantity of likes for each origin.

1. Export chart 

Export only the chart image, or choose another format below. You can also view export fields, divided by chart criteria. 

2. Reload card

Refresh the chart information so that the most recent data is displayed. 

3. Export Button 

Export the chart by choosing between the image and other formats. 

Note: This chart may contain various types of described sources. All information is sent by Facebook and constantly updated, so some items are written in English, indicating that the data is new and has not yet been processed by our system.

4. Your Page

Likes came from people who visited your page. 

5. Other

What is not within the other categories is included as "other." 

6. Restored Likes from Reactivated Accounts

Likes from users who reactivated their profile on Facebook. In other words, the profile (which already liked your page) was deactivated and is now active. That's why it is counted in the filter period. 

7. Search

Likes that came from users who saw your search or searched for the page in the "search" field.

8. News Feed

Likes that came from people who saw the content published by your page or about your page in the news feed. 

9. Page Suggestions

Likes came from users who saw your page in a list of suggested pages on Facebook, according to the content you search for on the network. 

10. Ads

Likes from posts sponsored by your page.
