Introduction

Learn how to connect your proprietary Google Play page in STILINGUE.

The connection of your proprietary pages is done in My Connections. Access the initial guide for more information on how to access this area and the connection options for different social networks. In this guide, we will specifically discuss Google Play.

 

Google Play is the official digital distribution store for the Android operating system, where you can download applications, movies, games, and more. Through the data collected by STILINGUE, you can analyze the main brand reputation indicators of your app. With this functionality, you can collect scores from reviews and comments left by users.

 

The process to connect your proprietary Google Play page is different from other proprietary connections. Check out the step-by-step guide below to access this feature.

 

How to Connect

First, you should connect your proprietary page in My Connections. The icon can be easily identified on the platform's homepage. There, click on the Google Play icon, and then click on Add Connection.

When you click on Add Connection, a pop-up will appear with instructions on how to set up the Google Play app to have the necessary access and permissions. 

 

The Google Play connection on the platform is divided into 3 parts: app configuration, Google account connection, and STILINGUE account connection. The instructions are provided step by step in the pop-up, as well as below:

 

Application Setup

1.1. Access the link: https://console.cloud.google.com/iam-admin/serviceaccounts

1.2. Log in with your Google account and project associated with your app on the Play Store.

1.3. Access the Google project where you want to create the service account.

1.4. Click the Create a Service Account button and give it a name.

1.5. Click to copy the email link created and associated with this service account. It will be used later.

Connecting Your Google Play Account

2.1. Access the link: http://play.google.com/apps/publish

2.2. In the left-hand side menu, click on Users and Permissions.

2.3.Click on Invite new users.

2.4. When inviting the user, paste the email copied in step 1.5 and grant administrator permission."

2.5. Click to add permissions for your app:

2.6 Accept the default permissions.

 

Connecting Your STILINGUE Account

3.1 Enter the application's URL. 

To access the application's URL, go to the Google Play Store (https://play.google.com/store), search for your application, click on it, and copy the link from the address bar, which is your URL. 

3.2 Upload the JSON file generated in step 1.8 to the provided area in the Pop-Up.

Click on Finish to complete the process.

 

To start the collection, link your Google Play account to a survey and activate it. 

To do this, simply select the surveys in the field below the card and, finally, click on the little power button in the right corner of the card. You will know that the page has been successfully activated when it turns green.

From here, your survey will begin collecting the reviews and comments from users of your proprietary account.
