Adding profiles to a search January 18, 2024 12:20 Updated Index: Introduction How to add Additional questions Introduction See how to add user profiles that will have priority in monitoring in your Search Configuration. When planning your Search Configuration, you have the option to include user profiles that will have priority in monitoring social media by STILINGUE. This feature is not required to collect publications if you are already correctly using the suggestions of brand-owned profiles through the Suggested Groups, but it can be relevant to track actions with influencers, brands, specific profiles for campaigns and other publishers within the chosen scope. You can find more information about Suggested Groups in this guide. Custom Services: need help setting up your search? We can assist you! Our team of experts is ready to assist you. Contact your STILINGUE account manager to gain access to this and several other services. The Add Profiles section also acts as an additional guarantee that the publications of the chosen profile will be collected, in the case of niche profiles or with a low number of interactions on the page. Consult the FAQ for access to other information. How to add For example, if we want to monitor the actress Giovanna Ewbank, we need to know which username she uses on each of her social media accounts. After checking the networks you want to monitor, go to the “Add profiles to the search” tab. Select the network and enter the username (exactly as it is written on the network): The color represents the respective social network: Dark blue - Facebook Light blue - Twitter Red - YouTube Once this is done, all content published on the selected channels will be collected. It is important to note that this collection for Twitter is a sample due to a limitation of the API (connection that delivers social media data). For other social networks, the collection will be performed in full. After adding the profiles in this field, you can use the network operators if you want to actually collect the publications or comments made on these profiles. The inclusion of the operators is an alternative to monitor all the content shared by the desired profile. Note: to guarantee the collection of the page in Listening, you need to use the ID descriptor within the Group. It is not required to be in the profiles, as they serve different functions. Remember: Add Profiles: it enters the search only if there is a match with any descriptor of the groups; Network Operator: collects all profile's publications. When inserted in a group, it collects everything it covers and ensures the match with the specified group. Important: Remember that you have already inserted the profile of a specific brand using the suggested groups, so there is no need to do the same operation in Add Profiles, except if the page is “smaller” and has less visibility. In this case, it is necessary to enter it in the Add Profiles field to guarantee collection. For more information, please refer to the FAQ. Attention: Currently, the search for profiles is only done by name and not by ID or page URL, so if a brand has more than one page associated with the same profile, it will not be possible to add them to the search. Learn how to activate this option: With the profile already included in the “Add Profiles to Search” field, click on the term and select from the parameters: 1. Click here to view the profile This option opens the added profile directly on the social network in a new browser window when you click on “here”. In addition to knowing how to add a profile in this area, it is also important to understand what happens when the monitored profile has its @ (that is, the page or profile name) modified. The collection uses an ID that is a specific number of the page (profile) used in the API (connection that delivers social media data to us), and not the @ itself. This ID is immutable, so the profile's publications will continue to be collected, even if the page's @ is changed. However, this change implies another situation: when trying to access the link of the monitored profile within the platform, a redirection failure will occur. In this case, we suggest that the profile be re-registered, only so that the correct page redirection occurs. 2. Classify Choose the group or theme for which the profile should be collected/classified. As soon as the group is chosen, the network operator (with the numerical sequence already included) will appear in the selected group. In order for the collection of Instagram profiles to be performed in your panel, it is necessary that the Instagram owner page is a (business) commercial profile and is: Connected to the research; Linked to the research; Active in the research. 3. Collect/Classify In addition, it is possible to define whether only the publications will be included in the research, the comments, or even both options. In the case of Facebook, it is also possible to collect the publications of visitors. Although there is no limit on the number of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube profiles that can be added, there is a limit on the number of network operators that can be included in groups in the contracted plan, as explained in the FAQ. For more information about plans, contact your STILINGUE Account Manager. It is also worth remembering that the publications of a given channel will only be collected if they are in accordance with the terms included in the Groups of your search, and that the collected publications are only from public profiles and pages.
