Reprocessing January 19, 2024 18:50 Updated Index: How to access What is reprocessing? Application and Limitations How to reprocess? How to access Learn how to optimize your search configuration and enhance search results. When you click on the Create/Edit Research tab, you can access the area and identify important information for the start of the research. What is reprocessing? Reprocessing is when the search considers changes in the terms or rules entered and applies these changes to the most recent collections, within a limit of up to 100,000 publications - for larger quantities, reprocessing must be requested through the Customer Service team. The process is similar to a new collection in the database, carried out based on the latest editions in the panel. Typically, these editions are made to optimize the Search Configuration when search results do not align with the objective. Reprocessing is an essential feature for improving the Search Configuration - which can and should be changed as many times as necessary. However, keep in mind that by saving changes in this model, you will impact previously collected publications. Another point to be observed is that reprocessing does not consider retroactive publications . In other words, publications prior to a certain period (different from the retroactive collection via service explained in this guide) are not considered. This means that after reprocessing a new term in your search, the publications collected by this term will be collected only if they have been published after the reprocessing. Example: a term was registered in the search at 12:00 p.m. on August 5th. A publication containing this term was made earlier, at 9:00 a.m. on the same day. Due to not considering retroactive publications, this publication would not be collected. Attention! If the terms of a Group are excluded from the configuration and the search is reprocessed, the publications collected by the terms of that Group are also excluded from the search, as every reprocessed change impacts the configurations made earlier. Application and Limitations Reprocessing rules are applied to different elements of your Search Configuration, such as group terms, theme terms, sentiment scoring (Term Library), and tag annotation, in addition to rules applied in the Automation module. For the latter, if the rule is directly reprocessed by the Automation area, this action will reflect on the terms within the Search Configuration. The opposite - that is, the reprocessing of terms in the Search Configuration affecting the rules in Automation - also occurs. Other features in the search, such as Instagram hashtags, channel selection, among others, do not apply to reprocessing. Attention! After reprocessed, it is not possible to reverse this action. How to reprocess? To reprocess the search, simply update the Search Configuration as needed and then click on Save and Reprocess. It is important to note that during reprocessing, you should not make any other changes to the configuration until the process is completed. As soon as your research begins reprocessing, you can follow it by clicking on the "hourglass" icon in the upper corner of the Listening: The reprocessing status is displayed and will indicate the update time to apply edits to the Search Configuration (always estimated within 24 hours from the start time), along with showing a bar with the percentage and volume of reprocessed publications. Please note that these rules apply to searches of up to 100,000 publications, and reprocessing of larger quantities must be requested separately. At the end of the process, the bar will turn green to indicate that 100% of the publications have undergone reprocessing.
