Term Options January 22, 2024 18:58 Updated Learn how to optimize the terms in your Search Configuration to gain insights and speed when inputting words. The Options section within the Search Configuration is a feature that simplifies the entry of new terms and can provide you with interesting ideas for specific monitoring. After finding the Search Configuration, go to the Group that contains a term entered in the field and click on the term. A new box will open showing the available options: Understanding the Meaning of Each Topic 1. Modify If the term has a spelling error, instead of deleting it, you can correct it (in the field with the term's name) and click on Modify. 2. Apply Context Filter It's common, when starting the creation of a Search Configuration, to add several terms with the Context operator. By clicking on this option, you transform the simple term into an operator. 3. Use the word exactly as it is written? The same situation applies to the "exactly" operator. If you want to activate the use of this operator in your search, from the selected term, click on this option and turn the term into an operator. 4. Test search This feature allows you to check how the term is being used in publications. The test is based on the publications stored in the STILINGUE database. The "Test search" option will return publications related to the term you entered in the Group (by clicking on it). The search is performed only for the selected term. This test does not indicate the collection of these publications, and other aspects of the Search Configuration need to be taken into consideration. For example: after testing the search for a specific term, you decide to activate the Context Operator for that term. In this way, the publications will only be collected if the terms inserted in the context are present. Important! The "Test search" option only works for simple terms (descriptors without linked operators) and displays only a sample of Twitter publications. What is returned in this area is only a sample. Attention! The test does not relate to setup configurations and does not consider language in the search. 5. Suggest Just like "Test search," the "Suggest" area presents some synonyms, information about Google searches, and details that may be important if you need more data that could bring insights to your research: 6. Negative/Positive The "Negative/Positive" option helps you negate a search term without the need to manually input the "Negativar" (Negate) operator. To revert the term to its original form, simply click again. 7. Remove Remove one or more terms by clicking on the trash bin icon.
