Create New Alert May 20, 2024 13:21 Updated Learn how to create alerts to monitor actions in publications according to the parameters you choose. Alerts enable personalized notifications to be activated for you whenever the specified actions are performed in your search dashboard. This ensures that you don't miss relevant publications for your activity, campaign, or even daily routine. Refer to our summary of the functionality in our material on Alerts - Summary. You will find the option to Create a New Alert in the green button at the top right of the View Alerts page. You can also click on Create Alerts in the sidebar: When clicking on 'Create new alert,' follow the step-by-step instructions to configure your alert. Step 1. Alert Type When you click on the box, the options will appear. What they are: - Daily Alert: emails are sent every day. The system scans the search every 180 minutes to identify publications that belong to that alert and looks for publications within a 2-day window. After scanning the search, the alert will be sent if it has not been delivered yet that day; - Weekly Alert: emails are sent every Monday at 05:00 and search for publications within a 7-day window; - Monthly Alert: emails are sent every first Monday of the month at 04:00, searching for publications within a 30-day window; - Real-time Alert: emails are sent with intervals of 10 to 15 minutes, on average, and search for publications within a 24-hour window. Note: Real-time Alert is not available for the account group (that created the search) included in the plans: Trial and Light. The sending of all alerts is a sample. This means that within the time interval of each alert, 50 publications that best match the conditions you've set are selected. These "top 50 publications" are then sent via email. If, during the alert interval, more than 50 posts are collected, the rules will apply to posts that meet the criteria with the most affinity to the recorded conditions. To access the publications in full, simply replicate the filter from the alert in the War-Room. The link in the body of the email (identified as "CLICK HERE") redirects to the Publications Board so that you can perform this search. Step 2. Alert condition Here you enter the necessary conditions for the alert to be sent. For example, you can receive an alert per day with publications that have more than 200 comments. 2.1 Alert condition Choose which criteria will be used by you to define the alert parameters. This field will be related to the next one, which determines the quantity. The condition parameters are: Followers/Subscribers, Likes/Dislikes, Comments, Shares, Interactions, and AAA. Note: Take into account the data provided by the channels you would like to monitor. For example, Instagram does not provide followers, Twitter does not provide comments, and Facebook comments are anonymous, and so on. 2.2 Minimum quantity for alert It is possible to define a number to relate to the condition of the previous alert. By entering the condition "Comments" and "10" in this field, you indicate that the alert will find publications with 10 comments or more to be sent. This field has a maximum quantity limit of 1 million. Note: You can also set the condition to zero. In other words, enter the number "0" as the minimum condition. By doing this, any publication that is collected (according to the other parameters) will appear in the alert. This increases the possibility of delivering publications in the alert. 2.3 Textual search Use quotation marks, hashtags, or boolean operators to locate key terms for the alert. Hashtags can be used individually to find posts about a specific campaign, for example, or combined with boolean operators for more complex searches. Visit the guide to understand how this search works. 2.4 Groups Monitor the collection of (a) specific group(s). If that's not your goal, you can leave the field with all groups selected. Tip: You may consider searching for posts that could map a potential crisis. In this case, specific groups can be very useful for analysis. 2.5 Themes Select the themes corresponding to the classification of posts in the search. 2.6 Channels Select the specific channels for sending the alert. If not necessary, leave the field with all channels selected. 2.7 Tags Choose a tag (or more) to indicate the publications to be sent via alert. If you select only one (or more), only publications classified by the tag will be counted. Note: for this rule to also apply to manual tags - those created by you or your team - it is necessary to create the alert with the following parameters: Alert condition: Followers/Subscribers Minimum quantity for alert: 0 (zero) Tags: select the tag created by you. 2.8 Interests Existing interests on the platform are responsible for grouping users who publish in the search into "tribes." You can select an existing interest or one created by you in the Search Configuration. Access the guide for information about this area. 2.9 Files You can create a file of publications in your search within the Classify section. Once created, the file serves as a sample of publications for you to analyze without having to look at all collected publications collected. Select the File, recommended for weekly or monthly alerts. 2.10 Users In this field, you can identify search users, authors, and entities by entering the "username" as described on social media. Thus, when publications from these specific user(s) are collected, you will be notified. 2.11 Locations Insert the name of the city or state you want to monitor. Remember that this option works only for publications made with the geolocator activated. 2.12 Sentiment Define which sentiment you would like to assign to the alert. 2.13 Publication Type You can choose to collect text, image, or video publications. 2.14 Checked publications Receive alerts for conditions applied to publications that have been marked as checked in your dashboard. 2.15 Devices It is possible to monitor separately publications made from a computer or a mobile device. 2.16 Gender Choose among publications made by Men, Women, and/or Organizations based on the alert condition. 2.17 Language Choose the language(s) of the notifications for publications you want to receive. 2.18 Annotated publications If you wish to receive notifications for conditions of publications within those that had been previously annotated in your research. 2.19 Removed Publications Receive alerts about the conditions applied to removed publications on your dashboard. Step 3. Next steps At this moment, you will define who will be notified about the publication by filling in the blank field with the list of email addresses of people who need to receive the alert. Note: If no other email is inserted, only the alert author will receive notifications. The email is sent from the domain: "nao-responda@stilingue.com.br", identified as "Daily Alert" (for this type of alert) and will display the following information: Step 4: Customize the alert In this final step, you just need to give a name to your alert and save it. Tip: By adding the domain @stilingue to your email contacts, you ensure that alerts will not be sent to your junk mail. Note: Once an alert is created, it cannot be changed. If you want to modify it, you will have to create a new one.
