Initial Analysis of Facebook - Overview February 05, 2024 14:28 Updated Index: Top Menu Views of Videos Discover the most relevant numbers about your proprietary Facebook pages. Access the Proprietary Metrics area to track and view detailed information about your page's performance and gain insights important for your business. Attention! This area analyzes the proprietary publications of the connected page. If you delete the publications from your page, the collected data will no longer be displayed. Top Menu The menu in this area helps you determine a date range for analyzing the presented data, as well as change the metrics update time. Note: the filter for Proprietary Metrics is, at most, 3 months retroactive. To filter a longer period, it is necessary to split it and generate the data separately. Before proceeding with the analysis, an important point to consider: this area shows the comparative percentage based on the data provided by Facebook. This means that when selecting a specific date in a filter, a percentage comparison will be made with the previous period. This percentage is displayed below each number. Example: when opening the Overview of Proprietary Metrics, you selected the 7-day filter. The percentage that appears below the number in all categories of the charts refers to the last 7 days. Therefore, if your filter selects the date 07/15 to 07/21, the percentage will compare the data with the previous 7 days, i.e., 07/08 to 07/15. If in any chart the percentage exceeds 100%, it means that in the previous filter period there were data with lower values and now (with the insertion of a large volume of data) the number has exceeded compared to the previous date. By selecting 30 days in the filter, for example, you compare it with the same period, that is, 30 days before. Let's assume that for 30 days, the page was not connected; therefore, there would be no page publication on the platform. Suddenly, upon connecting the page, the latest 100 publications from the past 30 days are collected. Among these data, there would be 10 thousand likes. Since the previous month had "zero" publications, the percentage below the value will exceed 100%. Another, more practical example is to consider a page connected to the tool with 100 likes in one month and 300 likes in the next month. In relation to the previous filter, this represents an increase of 200% more than the previous month. Follow the first part of the Facebook Overview: 1. Page likes Number of likes on the page, according to the selected filter period. Note: if your Facebook page is a global page, there will be a difference in the number of fans displayed on the social network and the number displayed in STILINGUE. This happens because STILINGUE has access to regional data of the page connected to the platform, in most of the charts available on the topic. 2. Digital Score Within Proprietary Metrics, the Digital Score serves as a gauge of your page's growth based on engagement in posts. 3. Posts Informs the quantity of publications made in the filter period. The quantity is separated between: 3.1. Total Total volume of publications. 3.2 Timeline Only organic posts that have been displayed on the timeline of the network. 3.3 Dark posts Paid or boosted posts. 4. People talking about This metric is specific to Facebook and is sent via API. The name is translated from the original People Talking About This (PTAT) and represents the number of users who created a story about a particular page. Story, in this case, can be any of the following actions: Like a page; Post on the page; Like a post; Comment on a post; Share a post; Respond to a question; RSVP (respond yes, no, or maybe) to events on a page; Mention the page in a post; Tag the page in a photo; Make a check-in at a location; Share a check-in business; Like a check-in business; Write a recommendation; Claim an offer; 5. Engagement Index The Engagement Index calculation considers the following formula: Engagement = (likes + (comments x 1.5) + (shares x 2)) / reach x 100 This way, each interaction has a different weight in the analysis. 6. Average Reach Takes into account the Total Reach divided by the number of days of the filter. This value is presented in the system so that you can find out, on average, what the daily reach of the selected publications in the filter was. Average Reach = Total Reach / Number of days in the filter 7. Interactions on filter posts It is important to note that the interactions in this area are considered within the metrics update period. Facebook's metrics are updated for the most recent 100 posts in the last 30 days. Therefore, if you apply a filter selecting the month of April and a comment on a post in April is made in July, it will not be counted in the filter as it exceeds the 30-day period. All interactions made on posts (during the filter period) are presented, divided by: 7.1 Total Sum of total interactions. 7.2 Reactions The sum of reactions will be presented, considering all available options on the network. Note: It is not possible to obtain the number of reactions for cross-posted publications. The option to view this type of metric is available only for "original" posts, an existing post that generates other posts. Click here to read about Cross Posts. 7.3 Shares Shares made on the page, according to the selected filter. 7.4 Comments Comments made on the page's posts, regarding the selected period of the filter.Important! Comments made on the posts with a publication date corresponding to the filtered period are counted. Therefore, comments made outside the filter period are not taken into account. Views of Videos For Facebook video posts, a new set of metrics is available with the following data: Total videos published Number of videos published within the filter period. Total views Total views of the videos published during the filtered period. Unique video views Total unique views across all videos published during the selected filter period. Average video watch time Average watch time across all videos published during the selected filter period. 8. Reactions on filter posts Shows the different Facebook reactions made by users on posts within the analyzed interval. The last option indicates temporary reactions.
